Classes

We are so excited to have The Bead Shop Scotland back with their fun and educational beading classes. There will be four new classes at the next Scottish Bead Fair. Tickets can be booked now and must be booked in advance. We suggest early booking as the classes are popular.

Bookings for classes can be made either by calling our The Bead Shop Scotland on 01620 822886, e-mailing info@beadshopscotland.co.uk, or in person in either our Haddington or Edinburgh branches. Each class costs £16 plus materials. Telephone or e-mail bookings must be paid in full within 4 days of booking. If one person books two classes we will discount the total by 10%.

Pearl Knotting with Jane Lock

In this very popular workshop, Jane will guide you through the techniques of stringing and knotting beads for a secure and traditional finish to your necklaces. One of the ‘essentials’, it’s a skill you’ll use over and over again with glass beads, pearls, even gemstones. This workshop is suitable for complete beginners.


Cocktail Cuff with Louise Mair

Almost too glamorous for words, Louise’s bead-woven bracelet is the perfect opportunity to really get to grips with square stitch. A little experience of beadweaving using any small beads with a needle and thread is required for this class.


WireWork Bracelet with Lesley-Anne Cow

Silver coils alternate with pretty lampwork beads to create this funky bracelet. If you like working with wire but need inspiration, then this is the class for you. This workshop is suitable for complete beginners.
