About the Bead Fair

The Scottish Bead Fair was created with two simple aims in mind. The first was to bring some of the most exciting beads and findings for sale across the country to the Scottish public in the first event of its kind north of the border. The second was to champion small and fledgling businesses as well as more established businesses. The Scottish Bead Fair has an eclectic mix of exhibitors and truly has something for everybody.

The event is organised by Dawn Cotton Fuge of Precious Sparkle Beads, one of Scotland's leading online retailers of semi-precious gemstone beads. The event is held in the Fair City of Perth which being in the centre of Scotland is very well placed to attract attendees from the four corners of the country.

The Concert Hall is located in the town centre and is easily accessed by bus and train. There is also ample parking available nearby. The Concert Hall has an excellent cafe with a full menu as well as coffee and snacks.

At the bead fair in February buyers were tempted with everything from semi-precious gemstone beads to handmade lampwork beads, glass beads, freshwater pearls, ceramic beads, precious metal findings, wire and tools, glass rods and equipment for lampwork bead making, beads handmade in Africa, and an extensive selection of books on the subject. There were many new and exciting beads on offer.

The next event in August will have more new and exciting beads on offer as well as the return of many popular exhibitors with their extensive stock and knowledge. See you at the next one!
